Studio / Workshop Statement

Studio as an idea. Workshop as a means.

Both studio and workshop are a places of work. They can exchange according to desire and need.

My duel practice, as artist and metalworker, provokes a constant battle of identity and the place of work. Not in terms of values but in terms of functionality. I take on a completely different role from one side to the other. There is a kind of wager made between my very differing needs of sustenance and belonging in the realm of the imagination. Both lives are true in the world.

My studio is in my head. My studio is in my hands.

My art practice is in and around these places.
